1. The Competition

1.1 These Terms & Conditions apply to all competitions listed on our website at https://prizepaws.co.uk.

1.2 All Prize Paws competitions are skill based photography competitions. Entries are judged against the class brief, and judging decisions are final. No refunds will be issued for non placement, unsuccessful entries, or unused entries.

1.3 It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure photographs are submitted by email before the stated competition deadline (6pm on the final day of the calendar month unless otherwise stated). Entries submitted after the closing date or time will not be included and no refund will be offered.

1.4 Where an entrant is unable to participate for reasons outside of their control, a refund may be offered at our sole discretion. There is no automatic entitlement to a refund.

1.5 No cash alternatives will be offered in place of prizes or rosettes unless explicitly stated by Prize Paws.

2. Eligibility & Participation

2.1 Entrants must be aged 16 or over, unless entering with the permission of a parent or guardian. Entrants must reside in the United Kingdom or Republic Of Ireland. Where a sponsor is unable to provide a prize to an entrant in the Republic of Ireland, a Prize Paws entry credit may be offered instead.

2.2 All photographs submitted must have the full permission of any individual featured. Professional or purchased photographs are not permitted. Misrepresenting a professional image as your own will result in the entry being void, with no refund issued.

2.3 AI-generated images and heavy digital manipulation are not permitted. Minor adjustments such as exposure, tone, or conversion to black and white are allowed where stated in the class brief. If an image is suspected of breaching these rules, it may be disqualified without refund.

2.4 Professional photographers are not permitted to enter. A professional photographer is defined as any individual who earns money from photography services or undertakes paid photography assignments.

3. Right to Refuse Entry & Moderation

3.1 Prize Paws reserves the absolute right to refuse entry, suspend participation, or decline future entries from any individual at our discretion.

3.2 This includes, but is not limited to, situations involving:

• Breach of these Terms & Conditions

• Harassment, intimidation, or abusive behaviour towards Prize Paws, judges, sponsors, or community members

• Attempts to influence judging outcomes or pressure the organiser

• Conduct that negatively impacts the integrity, fairness, or enjoyment of the competition

3.3 Prize Paws is not obliged to provide individual explanations for moderation, participation, or refusal decisions.

3.4 Decisions relating to moderation, eligibility, and participation are final.

4. Refunds & Disputes

4.1 Entry fees are non-refundable once a competition has run, except where Prize Paws chooses to offer a refund at its sole discretion.

4.2 Refunds will not be provided in response to dissatisfaction with judging outcomes, non-placement, moderation decisions, or refusal of future participation.

4.3 Attempts to obtain refunds through pressure, threats, or negative feedback may be treated as misconduct and referred to relevant platforms.

5. Community Conduct

5.1 Prize Paws aims to maintain a supportive, inclusive, and positive community.

5.2 Harassment, bullying, hate speech, discriminatory language, or targeted behaviour towards individuals, dogs, breeds, or groups will not be tolerated.

5.3 Prize Paws reserves the right to remove content, restrict access, or block individuals from its platforms to protect the community.

6. Privacy & Use of Content

6.1 By entering, you acknowledge that your photograph, your dog’s name, and your name may be displayed on the Prize Paws website and social media channels. If you do not wish for your content to be shared, you must notify us in advance.

6.2 Prize Paws may use submitted images for promotional or marketing purposes unless you request otherwise.

6.3 Personal information may be shared with sponsors where necessary for prize fulfilment. In most cases, winners will be asked to contact sponsors directly.

7. General

7.1 Prize Paws reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version published on the website at the time of entry will apply.

7.2 By entering a Prize Paws competition, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to our competition rules and  Terms & Conditions in full.
