Every pet has a story to tell, and this class is all about capturing their unique personality.
Whether it's a soulful gaze, a cheeky grin, curious eyes or a moment of quiet reflection, we're looking for portraits that showcase the character and charm of your much-loved companion. Dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, birds, reptiles and every pet in between are welcome.
Our judges will be looking for photographs that combine a strong connection with your pet, excellent focus, beautiful lighting and a portrait that really brings their personality to life.
Please note: This class has a reduced entry fee of £2. As this is a special class, there are no sponsor prizes. However, 1st–10th place will each receive a Prize Paws rosette, and the top four photographs will qualify for the Championship, where they'll have the chance to compete for the overall Championship prizes.
 
Please note: To keep things fun and fair for everyone, professional photographers are not eligible to take part. By 'professional' we mean anyone who earns an income from photography services or works on paid photography assignments.  We also do not permit images that have been purchased from photographers. That said, if you are passionate about photography, have taken classes or just happen to be really talented then you are more than welcome to take part. 
 
Please not that AI generated images are also not permitted in any of our classes. If we suspect that the image you are submitting is not in line with our rules we will contact you but no refund will be offered.
